Artists speak out about the importance of arts education

President Donald Trump proposed budget cuts in March that would eradicate the National Endowment for the Arts. However, Congress plans to only reduce the budget for the NEA by 3%. The NEA funds and promotes creative programs across the country. Now, artists like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Julie Andrews and Kal Penn have a message about the importance of art education.
